Why is my ember losing height even though I'm holding the screen?
Ignarion always sinks a little on its own — that's the gravity of the gallery, not a bug. Holding your finger down makes it rise faster than it falls, so a steady hold is what keeps it climbing. If it still feels off, check that nothing else on the display (a case edge, a screen protector lip) is catching your touch.
My Heat hit Burst and then I couldn't breathe fire for a few seconds. Is that intended?
Yes. At 100 Heat you get one big Burst hit, then six seconds of Cooling — no breath at all, and incoming damage is doubled. It's the risk side of running hot on purpose. Backing off Heat before it maxes out avoids the Cooling window entirely.
I lost a boon I picked in an earlier descent. Where did it go?
Boons from the Draft only last for the descent you picked them in — they're meant to be temporary, run-specific bonuses. What carries over between descents is your embers and whatever you've attuned on the tree in Sanctum.
A chapter in Chronicle is still locked. How do I open it?
Chapters open once you've cleared a total number of waves across all your descents, not in a single run. Keep descending — even a run that ends early still counts its cleared waves toward the total.
I want to start over completely. How do I wipe my save?
Open Rites from Sanctum and find "Erase the ember." Type the confirmation word exactly as shown and confirm — this clears your embers, attuned nodes, and unlocked chapters right away. It can't be undone, so make sure that's what you want first.
